I retired from work at the University of Nottingham last year after a career in property and facilities management. I have know Sam White’s family since being part of the LifeCycle4 team when we rode 1400 miles taking in the four corners of Great Britain in 2014. The ride raised funds for the Children’s Brain Tumour Research Centre. Each rider rode in honour of a child who had suffered with a brain tumour which gave us all a greater understanding and insight into this devastating disease and the life changing impact it has on affected children and their families.
I now enjoy retired life with my wife in a village near Newark – we have two grown up daughters and a one year old granddaughter. We have two dogs, keep a few chickens and have recently taken on an allotment
